Honeywell’s MS7580 GenesisTM, the world’s first presentation area-imaging scanner engineered to decode all standard 1D, PDF and 2D codes, provides enhanced productivity and revolutionary imaging technology in an elegant, yet durable design. Patented CodeGate ® technology along with an activation button support menu-scanning and other targeted-scanning applications. Unlike other scanners with multiple on-board interfaces, the MS7580 has four dedicated memory banks—each one capable of storing full configuration settings for RS232, keyboard wedge, USB and 46xx RS485 interfaces. 

Automatic cable detection and configuration simplifies migration to a new interface by eliminating the need to scan programming bar codes. Three additional patented technologies augment the MS7580’s unmatched feature set: Shielded LEDs minimize the intense flashing common among other area imagers.

CodeSelect TM allows the MS7580 to capture up to seven bar codes in a single flash and output data in any predetermined order.

MS4980 VuQuest

Honeywell’s MS4980 compact area-imaging scanner offers aggressive scanning of all 1D, PDF and 2D bar codes in a lightweight, durable and portable form factor. The scanner also features a sleek and elegant design that blends seamlessly in retail environments.

Automatic infrared object detection enables robust and easy presentation scanning, while patented CodeGate® technology provides precise targeting and scanning of closely grouped bar codes. The MS4980 delivers an array of advanced features that enhance productivity. Aggressive reading of bar codes on highly reflective surfaces, such as mobile phone screens, eliminates the need to purchase additional specialty hardware. A 1.2 mega-pixel CMOS  sensor allows the scanner to capture high resolution images of signatures, identification cards and personal checks.

An intelligent multi-interface design distinguishes the MS4980 from competitive scanners. The scanner has three dedicated memory banks—each one capable of storing full configurations for RS232, keyboard wedge and USB interfaces. Automatic cable detection and configuration simplifies scanner management by eliminating the need for manual configuration after the change of an interface cable. TotalFreedom™ expands scanner functionality by allowing image processing, decoding and formatting plug-ins to be loaded directly to the MS4980 instead of the host system.

MS7820 Solaris

Honeywell’s MS7820 SolarisTM vertical mini-slot scanner increases productivity with an unmatched feature set that aggressively scans high-density codes and fits easily into any existing enclosure found in small-item, high-volume retail environments.

Designed to increase system output and lower the total cost of ownership, the MS7820 reduces on-site service costs and downtime in convenience, drug, specialty, liquor, and grocery store environments. With an extended depth of field and advanced decoding software, cashiers can scan all standard bar codes on the first pass with minimal concern for orientation or print quality.

Multiple on-board interfaces make the MS7820 compatible with most POS systems, while automatic detection of the interface cable expedites system configuration. The MS7820 further simplifies integration by drawing power directly from the host’s 12-volt USB or serial port. Unlike other comparable devices, the MS7820 includes a troubleshooting visual diagnostic indicator. For investment protection, every scanner comes standard with an integrated RF EAS antenna and the capability to perform interlock with either Checkpoint or Sensormatic.
